Transformation of 1970s layout into a contemporary open plan family space
This recently completed extension project showcases a stunning transformation of a once dark and dated 1970s layout into a contemporary open plan kitchen, dining and family room. The brief from our client was to create a central hub for the family with plenty of natural light and space, integrating indoor and outdoor elements. The original 1970s layout featured compartmentalised rooms with limited natural light, offering little interaction between the interior and exterior spaces.

Our plans were thoughtfully designed to optimise the space available on the site as well as conforming to the Flood Zone 3 requirements. Large windows, corner doors and skylights were strategically placed to ensure there was a supply of natural light throughout the day, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere for all of the family to enjoy.

We also really appreciated their expertise at navigating all the planning requirements and they took care of the whole application process which took away a lot of the stress from the project for us. We love our new space and are so grateful for their help and support along the way”
