Winnersh Film Studios

A world-class creative tech hub for the film and TV industry at Winnersh Film Studios.
TPA acted as project lead in developing the master plan for the partial redevelopment of Winnersh Triangle Business Park. The long-term strategy will be for 195,000 sqft of stages, workshops and offices. The scheme coordinates the use of existing buildings in the business park, whilst also creating new purpose-built spaces.
Our client James Enright, CEO, Stage Fifty describes the proposal as “a world-class creative tech hub for the film and TV industry at Winnersh Film Studios.”

To help facilitate an early start to filming, a Temporary Planning Application was submitted in November ‘21 for two sound stages and associated workshops. Early engagement by the design team, applicant and Landlord meant the Planners and Parish were aware of the proposals and fully supportive once the application was submitted.

We were retained by Stage Fifty to assist with progressing the project on-site and due to the swift development of the proposal, it enabled George Clooney to begin filming in March 2022, less than 6-months after planning was first sought.

We have since established planning for further stage space, to house the world’s largest virtual production stage, and are progressing further development of the campus.

‘I have worked alongside TP Architects since 2020, when they began assisting my client, Stage Fifty, on their various film studio projects. They had the foresight to enter into this growing sector and have managed to adapt to it’s uniqueness. As a result, they have been great to work with, they are hard-working and creative, and they always go above and beyond to ensure the projects:

“We have worked with TPA for several years now, on various projects including Winnersh Film Studios and Wycombe Film Studios. We liaise with Ed and Natasha, who are extremely talented architects. They listen carefully and bring our ideas to life with clever design and creative solutions that are sympathetic to the environment of our studio locations.”
